The House of Prayer is a spirituality between Christian denominations whose purpose is to glorify God and to perform the intercession to him 24 hours a day, without pause, in as many places as possible. The focus, then, is incessant glorification, intercession and prayer.
The houses of prayer within spirituality operate in the pattern of continuous glorification service established by King David. In chapter 16 of the first book of chronicles, we read that David created the service of incessant glorification. Later, according to verse 5 of Chapter 23, King David ordered 4,000 (!) men to "praise the Lord with the instruments he had made for praise." Four thousand men were only tasked with praising the Lord day and night without a break!
This vision of David, given to him by God, is the foundation of the house of prayer spirituality.
Prayer houses are therefore not congregations, but places of service where Christians of different denominated faiths glorify And pray to God without pause.
As Isaiah/Isaiah prophesied: On your walls, Jerusalem, I have ordered guards; all day and all night, never listen! Those who remind the Lord should not rest. (62,6)
The power, joy, and freedom of glorification are manifested in a tangible way in the house of prayer spirituality. And the unity of Christians is a special joy for God: "Oh, how beautiful and beautiful it is for brothers and sisters to live in agreement!" (Ps 133)
Glorification and prayer in the house of prayer is an incessant banging on the "door of God" (cf. Mt 7:7). Sinners are converted, sick are healed, prisoners are released, cities and countries are changing, the kingdom of God, the kingdom of love, is being built.
The house of prayer is an exciting, new, and dynamically growing spirituality that turns to the Lord through incessant glorification, intercession, and prayer.
One of the most famous houses of prayer in the world is the International House of Prayer (IHOP KC)in Kansas City, founded in 1999, where glorification and intercession have been going on continuously and non-stop since September 19, 2009. IHOP KC has about 2,000 (!) full-time employees. You can joinin the uninterrupted praise here . The House of Prayer in Augsburg is the best known in Europe.
